Big Wednesday: A tradition for EGHS alums to gather at various watering holes in town, including McKinleys, Grille on Main, Harbourside, and End Zone (just over the line in NK). A couple of new, non-alcoholic places that will be open tomorrow night are the brand new Silver Spoon Bakery, open until 10 p.m. and Jigger's, which will be open from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Do you know of another spot? tell us in the comments. 

EG places open on Thanksgiving: 
Jiggers is open Thursday morning from 6 to 10 a.m.
Wild Harvest is open from 8 to 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving for pickup.
The Village Cafe is open from 6 a.m. to noon on Thursday.
Felicia's will be open Thanksgiving from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mainstreet Coffee is open Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Thanksgiving Game: The Avenger Football team travels to Narragansett Thursday morning for the annual Thanksgiving game. Kickoff at 10 a.m. Directions to Narragansett High School: 95 South; bear left onto Route 4 south to Narragansett and the beaches; Route 4 will run into route 1 south; go straight through intersection with wooden watch tower on left; take second Narragansett exit (reads Pt. Judith, route 108); bear right off exit; at traffic light, go straight through; NHS is approximately half a mile on the left (245 South Pier Road).

Turkey Trot Saturday: The second annual EG Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot happens Saturday. Work off the holiday meal with friends and family. It’s a fully sanctioned and certified 5K race in downtown EG. The main event starts at 9 a.m. with a 1-mile fun run at 8:30. Other activities will include crafts, music, and food.
