Five Things: Tales, Tunes & Orange Leaf
Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Dec. 11.

Tales & Tunes at Rocky Hill: Rocky Hill School is continuing its monthly story time and singalong for 2 to 5 year olds and their grown-ups. It takes place this morning from 10:45 to 11:30 in the preschool building to inspire a love of reading and music in your little ones! All are welcome.
Senior Day at Orange Leaf: Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt at 1000 Division St. is hosting its first “Senior Day” event today and next Tuesday (Dec. 18) from noon to 5 p.m. To spread some holiday cheer this season, they are inviting older citizens to enjoy some frozen yogurt for 50 percent off. In addition, each senior will get a discount card for their next visit. All five Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt shops in Rhode Island and Massachusetts are participating. Check the listing here for store locations.
Indoor dog park open house: Bow Chicka Wow Town, Rhode Island’s first and only off-leash, climate-controlled indoor dog park, is hosting its first weekly Tuesday Night Meetup from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Get a peek of the place that gives Fido and his human companion a place to play and socialize throughout the cold, dark months ahead.
Holiday Spotlights: All month long, EG Patch is featuring “Holiday Spotlights,” short articles highlighting a good gift idea you can buy in East Greenwich (or very nearby). To check out all the spotlights we’ve run so far, check out the Holiday Guide 2012 landing page here. To be spotlighted, send me an email describing the gift idea (it can be a good or a service) and at least one photo: elizabeth.mcnamara@patch.com).
Patch’s ‘Deck the House’ contest: If your house is looking spiffy outside with holiday decorations, consider showing it off beyond the drive-bys. We’re looking for the most decorated houses in town to participate in the second annual Patch Deck the House Contest. Check out one EG entry here. The overall winner brings $100,000 to their school district and up to $500 back on their electricity bill. Runners’ up get electricity money back too. Get involved. Upload a picture here. Or vote. If you have any questions, contact me (elizabeth.mcnamara@patch.com).
