Yard Sale: At 125 Westfield Drive – BMW tires & rims, furniture, toys & games, sports equipment (exercise bike, golf, skating, skiing and baseball items), books, household and holiday items. From 8 a.m. (not earlier!) to noon.
Tom Cavanagh 5K: The Inaugural Thomas Cavanagh Scholarship Run will take place on Saturday May 18.The 5k Run/Walk will support the Thomas G. Cavanagh Scholarship Fund at Our Lady of Mercy School. Tom was a former student and parishioner of OLM and his family has founded a scholarship in his memory – the run starts at OLM at 9 a.m. Click here for more information.

Meadowbrook Farms Spring Carnival: Stop by the carnival at Meadowbrook Farms before or after your sports activities between noon and 4 p.m. For $5 per person or $20 per family, you get a wipeout obstacle course, inflatable fun, face painting, crafts, games, music, 1 cake-walk ticket and 1 dunk-tank throw. Food will be for sale too.
Belly to Belly Run: There are two options this year, to do the traditional hotdog-and-beer rendition or to just run a 5K. Click here for all the details.

Give Back Saturday: Ocean State Soccer’s SoccerRECYCLE will be collecting gently used uniforms and soccer equipment and sending them to poor communities at a collection event today. OSS is asking each player to bring a nonperishable food item and their used soccer uniforms to the fields this weekend. All nonperishable food items will be donated to NK Food Pantry. From 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ocean State Soccer fields, 650 Stony Lane.
