The New Year's Day plunge also features an obstacle course. The event will benefit MENTOR Rhode Island.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—Billed as the world's only New Year's Day plunge with an obstacle course, the seventh annual Frozen Clam Dip and Obstaplunge is set for Jan. 1 at Goddard Memorial State Park. Here is the press release.

WHAT:
On Monday, Jan. 1, Warwick-based fitness organization Laid-back Fitness will host the seventh annual Frozen Clam Dip and Obstaplunge — the world’s only New Year’s Day plunge featuring an obstacle course — at Goddard Memorial State Park Beach.
