2021 REALTOR® of the Year

The Kent Washington Association of REALTORS® is pleased to announce Mary Coutu of Keller Williams Realty of Central Rhode Island as Kent Washington Association Of REALTORS® (KWAOR) 2021 REALTOR® of the Year! Each year KWAOR members nominate their selection for this honor, highlighting those who demonstrate REALTOR® sprint, professionalism, and volunteer commitment. A resident of Richmond, Mary has contributed exceptional time and energy to the betterment of this REALTOR® organization, the real estate industry, and our community.

A member of the Kent Washington Association since 2000 Mary has been actively involved in all levels of the Association volunteering her time and talents locally and on the state level. She has served as KWAOR Treasurer, President Elect, President, and Immediate Past President and on the Awards, Programs, Community Outreach Committees and on the Lockbox Task Force which launched Rhode Island’s only digital lockbox program in 2020. At the state level Mary has served on the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS® (RIAR) Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and she has attended several national conventions. She has taught many pre-licensing classes as an approved RIAR instructor and has been teaching and mentoring new agents for many years. In our local community Mary also serves with distinction. She is a great supporter of nonprofits such as Foster Forward, St. Mary’s Home for Children, and KW Cares, and has also served on the Board of Directors of the Pawtuxet Valley Chamber of Commerce.

When asked about her impact, Mary replied “I pride myself on bringing a culture of giving to the real estate community. Giving back is the greatest gift we can do for our colleagues and the communities that we work and live in”.

As the 2021 KWAOR REALTOR® of the Year, Mary will now be competing for the Rhode Island REALTOR® of the Year title which will be announced at the State Association’s Annual Meeting in the fall. She will be honored as the REALTOR® of the Year at the Kent Washington Association’s Annual Meeting and Installation at Quidnessett Country Club on October 14th.
