Local Neighbors Group will Learn Home Staging Tips for Better Living

Home staging isn’t just about making a house look great for a quick sale.

The concept can be applied to make a home more comfortable, useful and appealing.

Studies have shown that clutter and disorganization is both a reflection of one’s mental state and an influence; a clean house can foster an uncrowded mind.

East Greenwich residents are invited to the East Greenwich Cowesett New Neighbors Club’s monthly meetin on Wednesday, January 13th at 9:30 a.m. to explore this very topic.

“Home Staging for Everyday Life,” is the theme and participants will learn some beautiful ways to organize and decorate their homes using methods employed by a professional home stager.

Shannon Brito, guest speaker, is an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) and a member of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP).

“ She purchased her first home when she was still in college, and understands the value of real estate investment. Shannon will give us some tips for making our homes more appealing, even if they are not on the market,” the group said in a news release. “She earned a Bachelors Degree in Textiles, Merchandising and Design from the University of Rhode Island, where she is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business.”

The meeting will take place at the United Methodist Church at 1558 South County Trail in East Greenwich. The Club offers friendship and fun to both new and long-time residents of the area. EGCNN has a wide variety of activity groups including Theater, Chick Flicks, Walking, Running, Tennis, Book Clubs, Lunch Bunch, Taste of Rhode Island (Dinner Club), and more. There is a $35 annual membership fee, but newcomers may attend two monthly meetings before deciding to join. More information about the club can be found online at http://egcnn.org/
