Helen Hayes Sebesta, our dear Grammy, passed away December 20. She leaves behind storytelling Grampy Kenneth Sebesta whom she loved and cared for over 50 years. Grampy will need help. Grammy expects her children Erik, Leif, and Sherry to remember the skills and values she taught them.
She is very proud of the marvelous accomplishments of her children and grandchildren Annika, Ellie, Max and Lauren. She knows Erik and Lisa and Peter and Sherry will do their utmost to provide for their children and be positive role models. She knows that Leif will keep an eye on all of them and Bob too, and remind them of what Grammy would expect from them.
Many of us will continue to benefit from Grammy's eye for color and creative design, especially the clients she served from Helen Sebesta/Interior Design. All Rhode Islanders will benefit from her efforts as a Board Member for R.I. Common Cause and the R.I. Developmental Disabilities Council.
The memorial service will be Saturday, January 11, 2 p.m., at the Westminster Unitarian Church in East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the R.I. Food Bank. Please honor Grammy's B.A. in English from Austin College and her lifelong commitment to teaching good writing and try to use pronouns correctly.
