Obituary: Jeffery P. Devito, 33, EGHS Alum

Jeffery P. Devito, 33, of Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 20. Jeff is survived by his parents, Pat and Pattie DeVito of Portsmouth, N.H., his sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Chris Alekna of Richmond, R.I., and his partner, Steve Ryan, and their dog, Gunney, of Warwick.

He also leaves behind his Aunt Mary, Uncle Arthur, cousins Alex and Becky of Pennsylvania, and his Aunt Margaret and cousin Steven of Massachusetts.

Jeff was a graduate of East Greenwich High School.

A talented artist and a licensed cosmetologist and barber, Jeff worked in several Rhode Island salons. He loved to cook and tell stories. His smile was huge, his laugh was infectious and his big brown eyes were warm and loving. Jeff will be truly missed and is loved with all of our hearts and souls.

A wake will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, Conn., on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. A short service will be held immediately following the wake. Please visit Swan Funeral Home to leave an online tribute or condolence.
