Joyce Sherman, 72, passed away May 23. She was the wife of the late George F. Sherman, Sr. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Adelbert R. and Mary R. (Gallant) Ellinwood.

She was an avid bingo player. She is survived by four children – George F. Sherman, Jr., and his wife Debra, Susan A. Lamoureux; Linda M. Moses and Mary E. Dawson; five grandchildren – DJ, Erin, Corey, Justin and Alex; and was one of eleven children. She was the mother in law of the late Louis Lamoureux.

Funeral service Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., E. Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
