Police Log: Loud Music & Barking Dogs
Information about the following incidents was supplied by the East Greenwich Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, May 10
2:30 p.m. – Police assisted EG Fire at a fire at a house on Hemlock Drive. No one was home at the time and there were no pets. A neighbor called in the fire. The fire started in the attic. The house suffered extensive smoke and water damage.

5 p.m. – An East Providence man turned in a money clip with $225 in cash, a driver’s license and several credit cards. Police contacted the owner, a Warwick man, who came to the station to pick it up.
7:46 p.m. – An employee at a Cedar Avenue recovery residence told police a man she had worked with at another facility had made inappropriate romantic gestures toward her at the Cedar Avenue site on several occasions so she wanted a no-trespass order on the former patient. Police issued the order and delivered it to the man.

Saturday, May 11
8:59 a.m. – A Division Street resident told police she was annoyed with an ongoing problem of loud music from Rok Bar & Grille on Main Street on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Police told her to call any time the music becomes too loud.
Sunday, May 12
7:37 a.m. – A Clemente Drive resident asked for police to be present while her live-in companion removed his possessions. Police found the man sitting in a truck outside the house. He said he just wanted his clothes. Police told him he could do that later in the day, as requested by the homeowner. Â
8:04 p.m. – A Maplewood Drive resident complained about barking dogs barking at a nearby house. Police heard two dogs barking but no one was home. A report of the complaint was forwarded to the animal control officer.
