Police Log: Fake 'Script, Assaulting Behavior

Tuesday, Nov. 13

11:23 a.m. – A pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy on Main Street reported a fraudulent prescription from Monday. According to the pharmacist, a Warwick man tried to pick up a prescription of 90 oxycodone pills prescribed to a Warwick woman. The pharmacist told the man she would need to check with the prescriber and since it was a holiday that would have to wait. On checking with the doctor’s office on Tuesday, the pharmacist learned it wasn’t valid.

5:47 p.m. – Police arrested Jessica Correia, 38, of Castle Street, for assault and disorderly conduct after she allegedly kicked, slapped, and hit her boyfriend during an argument.

Wednesday, Nov. 14

6:11 p.m. – A Cranston woman told police she had been grabbed and thrown by her ex-husband while trying to retrieve possessions at his house on Hill Street on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Thursday, Nov. 15

11:33 a.m. – The owner of a shop on Main Street complained that a former business associate was going to local business owners and speaking poorly about her. She also said the woman, who now lives out of state, came to her shop and accused her of stealing from her.

Friday, Nov. 16

11:42 p.m. – Police arrested Robert Rainville, 43, of Justin Road, for assault and obstructing police after an incident at his house where he allegedly pushed his wife and grabbed and twisted her arm, cutting her palm with his car keys in the process. He was held at the station until the bail commissioner could show up the following morning. Update: Case was dismissed on Dec. 14; the victim chose not to go forward.
