Police Log: Lock Out, Missing Car Parts

Saturday, Nov. 17

12:57 a.m. – A Shadowbrook Crossing resident complained about several harassing phone calls she’d been receiving since Friday night around 7 p.m. She said the calls were from a woman who was having an affair with her ex-husband. Police advised the woman to have the phone company block calls from that number.

8:49 a.m. – Police arrested Michael Golding, 26, of Prospect Hill Avenue in West Warwick, on a bench warrant and for driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over for speeding on Middle Road. Routine checks turned up both the warrant and the license suspension. Police issued a summons and a citation and Golding’s passenger drove the car from the scene.

10:32 p.m. – A resident of Pequot Trail told police her boyfriend was trying to get into her house. She said she had changed the locks of her house because he would not move out despite repeated requests. She said she had moved his belongings to a storage facility on South County Trail and she gave police the key and storage unit number to pass on to her now ex-boyfriend.

Sunday, Nov. 18

5:10 p.m. – Police arrested Bethany Quinn, 28, of Exchange Street in Providence, on a bench warrant and for driving with a suspended license after she was stopped at the intersection of Duke and King streets for failing to make a complete stop. Routine checks turned up the two violations and she was taken into custody. The case was dismissed and her license reinstated on March 1, 2013.

6:45 p.m. – A Warwick woman reported a stolen iPhone 4. She said it had been on a window sill in a salon on Main Street, plugged into a charger, and it would have been visible to passersby on Main Street.

8:48 p.m. – A Tiverton woman told police her ex-boyfriend, who lives on Duke Street,  had not fixed her car as he said he would and he also seemed to have removed the exhaust and emission hose. She said she’d left the car with him on Oct. 27. Police left a messages with the Duke Street man, asking him to contact them.
