Potowomut Sees Rash Of Car Breaks Last Week

Cars parked at houses on 10 different streets in Potowomut are broken into the night after Thanksgiving.


A number of residents of Potowomut reported having had their cars broken into overnight between Friday, Nov. 23, and Saturday, Nov. 24, according to reports from the Warwick police.

Cars parked at residences on Lucas Road, Longfellow Drive, Ebony Drive, Topaz Court, Ideal Court, Opal Court, Jewel Drive, Weeden Drive, Potowomut Road, and Landis Drive.

Among the items missing were GPS devices, iPods, chargers, cash, and cameras. One man reported the theft of his Warwick Police Department badge and id.

At least several of the cars had been unlocked, according to reports.
