Rabid Skunk Located In East Greenwich: Cops
At least two dogs were exposed to the rabid skunk, police said.
EAST GREENWICH — A dead rabid skunk was found in East Greenwich, police said.
The skunk turned up Aug. 8 and test results showing it had been infected with rabies were returned five days later, according to an East Greenwich police report.
Two dogs kept on South Road were exposed to the dead, rabid skunk, police said.

The owner of the dogs informed an officer that the animals were up to date on their vaccines and received boosters after exposure to the skunk, police said.
"Both dogs were in a secluded fenced in area and lagreed to keep them confined at home under a watchful eye for 45 days," the report said.
