Rhode Island To Get Its 1st Blo Blow Dry Bar

EAST GREENWICH, RI — Blo Blow Dry Bar is set to open its first Rhode Island location next month.

Blo Blow Dry Bar, "North America's original blow dry bar franchise," is planning to open in East Greenwich Oct. 3 with a grand opening scheduled for Oct. 16, according to a media release.

The 1000 Division St. location "will offer Blo's signature blow outs, à la carte add-ons, a selection of hair treatments, and expert makeup services for events and special occasions," the release said.

Rhode Island native Maria M. Porreca plans to open two more Ocean State Blo Blow Dry Bars after setting up shop in East Greenwich, according to the release.

"Inspired by her family's small business background and spending more than a decade in New York City working in finance, Porreca returned to Rhode Island to be closer to family shortly after her daughters were born," the release said. "After a few years back home juggling motherhood and working as a busy financial executive, she recognized the need to bring a service she heavily relied on while living in New York back to her home community."
