State Police ID Man, 22, Killed In Rollover Thursday

WARWICK, RI— State police have identified the driver killed in an early morning single-car accident on Interstate 295. Alexander Valicenti, 22, of Warwick, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 17-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. She is not being identified.

According to the preliminary investigation, Valicenti was traveling South on the highway, lost control of the car, went off the road and rolled over. The crash happened near exit 1A, just south of the Route 113 overpass.

The cause is still under investigation, police said.
