Bob Watson, Blu, and two tragic car crashes top the most read stories for the year.


What were the biggest stories in East Greenwich during 2012? The biggest story was state Rep. Bob Watson's arrest for marijuana possession in South Kingstown. The arrest, which followed an arrest in Connecticut, led to Watson entering rehab. Watson chose not to run for re-election. 

The second biggest story was about 20 Water Street's transition to Blu on the Water. 

The next two best-read stories were about car crashes – the rollover on Shippeetown Road that killed two North Kingstown teens, and the crash on Route 4 that killed a pregnant woman.
