You Asked ... Patch Answers: When Is Stoneridge Luminaria?

I've gotten this question more than once: When is the 2012 Stone Ridge Luminaria? It's Saturday, Dec. 15, from 5 to 9 p.m. on most of the streets of the Stone Ridge neighborhood, right off Middle Road. 

They call it the Candlelight Tour and it's been happening for more than 25 years, put on by the Stone Ridge Neighborhood Association. Residents line their curbs, driveways, even walkways with paper bag laterns. People from all over come to Stone Ridge to slowly drive the streets with headlights dimmed to take in the festive beauty of that one night.

There's a rain date of Sunday, Dec. 16. Directions: Follow Middle Road west of Route 2. Take the second right after Route 2, on Stone Ridge Drive.
