3rd K-Rob Family Fun Festival on Tap
BMX legend Kevin Robinson and his foundation are hosting the third annual event at the Looff Carousel and Crescent Park on Saturday, June 8; rain date is Sunday, June 9.
Come on out to the third annual K-Rob Foundation Family Fun Festival at Crescent Park in Riverside on Saturday.
The festival is the primary fundraiser for the foundation founded by Kevin Robinson, the East Providence native who became a BMX legend. It promotes the use of sports to make a difference in the lives of youth.
The festival starts with the annual ride from Pierce Field to the Looff Carousel. Riders, walkers and runners will travel south on the East Bay Bike Path starting at 9 am.

At the park, there will be plenty of live music from nine local acts, rock climbing, karate and gymnastics demonstrations and a family-style football combine with former NFL safety Jamie Silva, an East Providence native.
There also will be a Wisdom to Youth BMX contest featuring some of the pioneers of the sport and amateurs making their mark. During the evening, the festival will air the premiere of "A Wicked Ride," a documentary about the birth and growth of BMX competition in New England.

Robinson also will be giving out the second "Junior Seau Award of Excellence" to a member of the East Providence community who has gone above and beyond to help youth. The award is named after the late NFL linebacker and close friend of Robinson.
The festival will run from approximately 11 am to 5 pm.

8:30 am - Registration at Pierce Field
9 am - Ride with K-Rob to the Looff Carousel at Crescent Park.
10 am - Wisdom to Youth BMX Contest
11 am to 5 pm - Family Fun Festival
