Here are five things you should know about in East Providence this weekend:
- Showers likely early Saturday with gusty winds but Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid 70s.
- The K-Rob Foundation throws its annual Family Fun Festival Saturday starting at Pierce Field with a ride at 9 am and continuing at the Crescent Park Carousel at 10 am with a BMX competition and other activities and events all day; rain date is Sunday.
- Temple Habonim, 165 New Meadow Road, Barrington, presents an evening of interfaith music featuring the Prism of Praise Community Gospel Choir of Providence, on Saturday, June 8, at 7 pm.
- St. Mary's Episcopal Church hosts its second annual Lawn and Bake Sale on Saturday, from 10 am to 3 pm at 81 Warren Ave.
- An East Providence Democratic Ward 2 breakfast fundraiser will be held on Sunday from 8:30 am to 1 pm at the Holy Ghost Brotherhood Hall, 51 N. Phillips Street.
