5 Things to Know About This Weekend

Here are five things you should know about in East Providence this weekend:

1. Showers likely early Saturday with gusty winds but Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid 70s.
2. The K-Rob Foundation throws its annual Family Fun Festival Saturday starting at Pierce Field with a ride at 9 am and continuing at the Crescent Park Carousel at 10 am with a BMX competition and other activities and events all day; rain date is Sunday.
3. Temple Habonim, 165 New Meadow Road, Barrington, presents an evening of interfaith music featuring the Prism of Praise Community Gospel Choir of Providence, on Saturday, June 8, at 7 pm.
4. St. Mary's Episcopal Church hosts its second annual Lawn and Bake Sale  on Saturday, from 10 am to 3 pm at 81 Warren Ave.
5. An East Providence Democratic Ward 2 breakfast fundraiser will be held on Sunday from 8:30 am to 1 pm at the Holy Ghost Brotherhood Hall, 51 N. Phillips Street.
