Here are five things to know about today in East Providence:

  1. Mostly sunny with a high temperature near 74 degrees.
  2. CHADD of Rhode Island hosts a program for parents of children with ADHD at Silver Spring Elementary School, 120 Silver Spring Ave., at 7 pm. No reservations necessary.
  3. The East Providence Senior Center offers a “chair exercise” program at 10:45 am to improve your joint mobility and muscle strength.
  4. Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Ave., hosts an AA meeting at 8 pm in the chapel.
  5. Looking for places to go this summer? Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., has many new passes – Battleship Cove,  Southwick’s Zoo , Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester,  Old Sturbridge Village  and The Hall of Patriot Place.
