5 Things to Know About Today

Partly cloud, warmer; Artists Loop film series; Rotary Club meets; food pantry open; learn to ballroom dance.

Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

  1. Partly cloudy and warmer with temperatures getting into the low 80s.
  2. The Artists Loop and Weaver Library offer at 6:30 pm a free screening of Art 21: Season 5: Photographer Cindy Sherman, with local artist Keith Fox introducing the film and leading a brief discussion afterward. The Artists Loop is a monthly program for artists and art enthusiasts.
  3.  The East Providence/Seekonk Rotary Club meets every Monday at 12:15 pm at the Eleven Forty Nine East Restaurant, 965 Fall River Ave., Seekonk.
  4. The St. Francis Xavier food pantry, 81 North Carpenter St., is open from 9:20 to 11 am for families to visit once each month with a valid government ID card.
  5. Ballroom dance classes are held every Monday at 2 pm at the East Providence senior center, 610 Waterman Ave.
