5 Things to Know About Today
Showers, T-storms; School Committee meets; children's chorus auditions; Medicare Meet-up; Bruno United soccer tryouts.

Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:
- Showers early with scattered thunderstorms later in the day and a high temperature of 72F.
- The East Providence School Committee meets for its first June meeting at 7 pm in the Council Chamber in City Hall.
- The Rhode Island Children’s Chorus, a music education and performance ensemble for children, will hold auditions for new members for the at the RI Philharmonic Carter Center, 667 Waterman Ave, from 4:30-6:30pm. Boys and girls ages 7-16 yrs. are welcome.
- Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) is hosting a free Medicare Meet-up at Davenport’s Restaurant, 1925 Pawtucket Ave., at 6 pm for anyone who is becoming eligible for Medicare, or who will be retiring and no longer have health insurance coverage through an employer.
- Bruno United, a premier youth soccer club for boys and girls, is holding tryouts at 6 pm at the fields on Federal Road in Barrington. Check the Bruno website for more information.
