Fernando B. 'Freddy' Mendonca, 54

Fernando B. "Freddy" Mendonca, of North Sharon Street, East Providence, died Saturday, June 29 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 54.
He was the husband of Maria F. (DeSousa) Mendonca. He was born in Terceira, Azores a son of Lucinda (Bettencourt) Mendonca and the late Manuel Mendonca.
"Freddy" worked for Griggs & Browne Pest Control. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves his mother in law, Maria A. Sousa and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved dog, Buddy.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 8 am from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are today, July 2, from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
