Girls' Soccer, Tennis Teams Play at Home; Laptop Hour for Teens

Here are some things you should know about in and around East Providence today, Sept. 19:

• Mostly sunny with temperatures getting into the mid 70s. 
• The Great Books Discussion Group meets at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., from 12:30 to 2 pm; Dr. Geoff Berg will lead a discussion of "Meditations I and II" by Rene Descartes. 
• Another laptop hour for teens takes place from 3 to 4 pm at the Weaver Library.
• The East Providence High School girls’ soccer team plays at home against Burrillville High at 7 pm at Pierce Field; the girls’ tennis team trades volleys with Cumberland High at 3:30 pm on the high school courts.
