'Mad Science', Make a Journal Today in E.P.

Here are five things to know about today in and around East Providence:
- Plenty of sunshine today with a high around 82 degrees – a beautiful day on tap.
- Learn some Mad Science at 2 pm in the Weaver library, 41 Grove Ave.; it’s a fun filled "edu-taining" performance for families with children ages 4 and older.
- Make and decorate your own journal at the Riverside branch library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave., from 3 to 4 pm. For kids ages 10 and up. Call 433-4877 to register.
- Download free eBooks from the Weaver library to your computer, phone, tablet or eReader? Visit http://ezone.oslri.net to browse the eBook and downloadable audio book catalog and find your summer reading pleasure.
- Angel's Perch, an independent feature film produced in partnership with the West Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and Scrappy Cat Productions, opens at the Cable Car Cinema and Café at 7:30 pm; it depict a family struggling with Alzheimer’s disease.
