'Mad Science', Make a Journal Today in E.P.

Here are five things to know about today in and around East Providence:

  1. Plenty of sunshine today with a high around 82 degrees – a beautiful day on tap.
  2. Learn some Mad Science at 2 pm in the Weaver library, 41 Grove Ave.; it’s a fun filled "edu-taining" performance for families with children ages 4 and older.
  3. Make and decorate your own journal at the Riverside branch library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave., from 3 to 4 pm. For kids ages 10 and up. Call 433-4877 to register.
  4. Download free eBooks from the Weaver library to your computer, phone, tablet or eReader? Visit http://ezone.oslri.net to browse the eBook and downloadable audio book catalog and find your summer reading pleasure.
  5. Angel's Perch, an independent feature film produced in partnership with the West Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and Scrappy Cat Productions, opens at the Cable Car Cinema and Café at 7:30 pm; it depict a family struggling with Alzheimer’s disease.
