Cross Insurance opens 31st office in East Providence
Cross Insurance, one of the largest independent insurance agencies in New England with 30 locations, has opened its first office in Rhode Island in East Providence.
The new office is located at 855 Waterman Ave. near the intersection with Commercial Way. Gary Heaslip, formerly with TGA Cross in Wakefield, Mass., has been named to take charge of the office.
“This new office is designed to better serve the needs of our existing Rhode Island clients while also opening the doors wide open for new ones as well,” said Royce Cross, CEO of Cross Insurance. “The attractiveness of the state, coupled with the potential for further growth, made this decision an easy one.”

“Rhode Island holds great meaning in my personal and professional lives and I am thrilled to oversee the operation of Cross Insurance’s Providence office,” Heaslip said. “Our work here in Rhode Island will truly represent the impact of the Cross brand and the breadth of insurance companies we represent. We offer a genuinely local experience, without relying on the outsourcing of important policy functions.”
