Providence Grand Jury Indicts EP Man
Dennis McLaughlin, 51, faces child molestation charges, the Attorney General's office said. The case was investigated by Warwick police.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI—Dennis McLaughlin, 51, of East Providence, faces child molestation charges, the state Attorney General's Office said Tuesday. The Kent County Grand Jury reported out a secret indictment charging him with one count of first degree child molestation and two counts of second degree child molestation. According to court papers, he molested a girl age 14 or younger multiple times between Aug. 15, 2010 and Aug. 15, 2014.
The indictment was unsealed in court on Monday. He was arraigned and is being held without bail.
Warwick police investigated the case because the alleged crimes happened in their city, the Attorney General's office said.
