Rose C. Conroy, 94, Avon Sales Rep Active in GOP Politics

Rose C. (DeLuca) Conroy, of East Providence, died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Linn Health Care Center. She was 94.
She was the wife of the late Robert L. Conroy. She was born in Bristol, a daughter of the late Leonardo and Anna (Malafronte) DeLuca.
Mrs. Conroy was a sales representative for Avon Cosmetics for many years before retiring. She also worked at the Crescent Park Carousel after her retirement.

She was very active in Republican Politics. She was a past President of the East Providence Women’s Republican Club and a Chairwoman of the Ward 4 Republican City Committee. She was also a past President of the Women’s Auxillary, American Legion Post 10, Riverside. She was a Navy veteran of World War II.
She leaves three daughters, Valerie A. Perry of East Providence, Sharon S. Johnson of Scituate and Barbara McGovern of Riverside, one sister, Louise Ferrazzano of Warren, one brother, Frank DeLuca of Cranston, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert L. Conroy,II and Stephen E. Conroy and sister of the late Davinci L. DeLuca.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 9 am from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, July 2, from 4-8 pm.
