Sofia C. Simas, of Sutton Avenue, East Providence, died at home surrounded by her family Monday evening, June 10, 2013. She was 97.
She was the wife of the late Dionisio Simas. Born March 18, 1916, in Feteira Grande, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Pedro daCosta and Beatriz Botelho.
Calling hours are today from 5 to 8 pm at Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Her funeral is Thursday at 8am from Rebello with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence.
