Storyteller in Riverside, Theater Performance at Weaver Library
Some special entertainment scheduled for today at East Providence's two libraries.

Here are some things you should know about today, Aug. 14, in and around East Providence:
- Partly cloudy with a high temperature of 79 degrees.
- Storyteller Carolyn Martino will tell stories from under the ground, under the house, under a rock, under the pillows, and more. But you won't have to dig too deep to find them at the Riverside Library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave., at 11 am; for kids ages 4 and older.
- The members of the summer Theater Workshops Series at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., perform "Penelope: Pride of the Pickle Factory" at 6:30 pm after 6 weeks of planning and rehearsing. Family, friends and the public are invited to attend these free performances.
- The East Providence Economic Development Commission meets at 6:30 pm in Room 306 in City Hall.
- Kids getting a bit bored? Weaver Library has many new passes for places such as Battleship Cove, Southwick’s Zoo, Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester, Old Sturbridge Village and The Hall of Patriot Place.
