Vincent P. McKinnon, Ex-Deputy Sheriff

Calling hours are Thursday at Manning-Heffern Funeral Home in Pawtucket.

Vincent P. McKinnon died at home in Rumford, East Providence, on Sunday, June 2, 2013. 

He was the friend and companion of Dora Burch. He was the husband of the late Louise (Melucci) McKinnon. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Kiley) McKinnon.

He served in the Navy during World War II and was a graduate of Providence College and Roger Williams University. He was a deputy sheriff for the Rhode Island Supreme Court for more than 20 years. He was well known in his neighborhood for his garden.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for him in St. Margaret's Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford, on Thursday, June 6, at 11 am. His calling hours will be Thursday from 9 to 10:30 am in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.
