Walter K. Champlin, 85, Retired Oil Truck Driver
His funeral service is Friday from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home in Providence.

Walter K. Champlin Sr., of What Cheer Avenue, East Providence, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Miriam Hospital. He was 85.
He was the husband of the late Leona (Partridge) Champlin. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles and Margaret (Watts) Champlin and brother of the late Charles E Champlin Jr. and Jane H. Champlin
He was a driver for Woods Service Station in East Providence for 30 years before retiring in 1990. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

He was the father of Walter K. Champlin, Jr. of Columbus Ohio, Deborah Champlin Wilson of Miami, Fl. and the late Sandra Champlin. He was the grandfather of Rachel Greenfield and Walter K. Champlin, III
The funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 2, at 9 am from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart Church, Taunton Ave., East Providence.
