Low Income Heating Assistance

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) can help cover the cost of heating your home. Households that meet the income guidelines may be eligible for heating assistance this winter.  New applicants can learn more at the LIHEAP Information Session on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5-7PM at the Benjamin Eddy Building (6 South Killingly Rd, Foster).  Additionally, if you qualify for heating assistance, you can submit a copy of your award letter to your electricity provider for a reduction in your rate.  You can contact Foster Department of Social Services to assist in the application process.  Please call 392-9208 with any questions.
