MFD Thank Community For Evan Nesby's Celebration of Life

To all Middletown Residents,

On June 23, 2012, the Middletown Firefighters hosted a “Celebration of Life” for the late Evan Nesby. 

Evan was a wonderful child whose life was cut short by a very rare disease called Moya-Moya. On that beautiful afternoon, we as friends, family, and supporters gathered to honor Evan, just the way he would have like it!

We would like to thank the following Middletown business’/organizations & others for their generous contributions to the event:  Frosty Freeze, Mike Nasiff for his DJ services, Alfonso’s Bakery & Amaral’s Central Market of Fall River Mass, Blowfish Embroidery, Chelsea’s Restaurant, Hawaiian Jim’s Shaved Ice, Newport RI, JAM Construction and Yard Supply, Kidventure, Middletown Firefighters, Middletown Police & FOP Lodge 21, Newport Daily News,  Olga Enger of Middletown.Patch.com, Penny Souza Photography, Pizza Hollywood, Shaw’s Supermarket, Silveira’s Kindergarten, Taylor Rental, & Toppa’s Warehouse. 

Thank you also to Mary DeFreitas and Marilyn Hennessy for donating your time helping to prepare food for the event. We all understand how difficult these times have been, and for those listed above to step forward with their vast contributions defines generosity.  The event was a HUGE success in large part because of all of you.
