Middletown Ranks 20th in GoLocal Poll — What Do You Think?

Taking a slight drop from the 2012 rankings, Middletown received a 20th-place finish this year from the GoLocalProv annual Best Communities survey.

Last year, Middletown ranked 18th between Coventry and Charlestown, but finished behind both towns in the 2013 update.

A description posted on this year's results notes that Middletown, 'named in the 18th century for its middling location,' boasts 'postcard views of Narragansett Bay.'

In ranking other local towns, GoLocalProv listed Newport 1st, Portsmouth number 10, Middletown 20th, Little Compton 21st, and Tiverton 27th.
