MPD: Bench Warrant Arrest For Felony Drug Possesion
The following arrest was reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Cody Williams, 21, of 20 Norman Dr., Tiverton was arrested on Wednesday at 1:45 in the morning on a bench warrant. Police pulled over a car at the traffic light on East Main Road and West Main Road because the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, said police.
Police said a search on Williams, the passenger, turned up a bench warrant. According to state records, Williams did not appear for arraignment on a felony drug possession after an arrest by the Middletown Police Department last year.
