Patch Editor and Mayor Dunked at Night Out Against Crime

Kids and even a few playful parents took the opportunity to plunge Newport-Middletown Patch Editor Olga Enger at the twelfth annual Newport Police National Night Out Against Crime on Thursday. Olga, along with Newport Mayor Harry Winthrop and several Newport Police Officers were dunked in the spirit of community and safety. 

“While the one night is certainly not an answer to crime, drugs and violence, Night Out does represent the kind of spirit, energy and determination that is helping to make many neighborhoods safer places throughout the year,” said Newport Officer Robert Spellman
