Sixth Annual National Night Out Will Be Held This Thursday

National Night Out will be held at Easton's Beach this Thursday from 4-6 p.m.

 

On Thursday, Aug. 2,  the Community and Traffic Services Unit will be holding its sixth annual National Night Out Against Crime at Easton’s Beach in conjunction with the Newport Recreation Departments Children’s Night Series. The event will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event is being organized to bring the community together with Police Departments, local agencies, neighborhood groups, businesses and organizations in a positive way. Children under the age of 12, who visit a predetermined number of tables and gather information on safety will be eligible for a free merry go round ride, hot dog or pizza, soda, and a chance to win a bicycle donated by the Newport Fraternal Order of Police lodge # 8. The event will be held rain or shine.
