Student Volunteers Needed for "Safety Town" Event

Student volunteers are needed for the 9th annual "Safety Town" event. Volunteers will earn up to 25 community credits

Student volunteers are needed to help out at the 9th annual "Safety Town" event, which is designed to teach incoming kindergarteners not only about public safety, but also introduce them to the school-like atmosphere that they have to look forward to in the fall.

This program is open to incoming kindergarteners entering the Middletown Public School system. Participants will learn about fire, water, bicycle, pedestrian, bus, and pet safety during classes, which will be held Aug. 14-17 at . There will be two sessions each day, from 8-10 a.m. and 1030 a.m. to 1230 p.m.

Student volunteers are needed on August 10 for training and August 14-17 during the event.

All hours spent with this program will be registered as community service hours for interested MHS students. This program can generate up to 25 hours of service when completed from start to finish.
