5 THINGS: Back to the Grind

Unfortunately, there are no holidays this week, so back to your normal, every day job.

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Monday, July 9, 2012:

District 3 Little League championship game today (again)! The South Kingstown National 9 and 10-year-old team suffered its first loss of the bracket yesterday, 7-5, against Coventry American. However, they’ll get another chance to advance to the tournament finals today, in a rematch with Coventry. The game is on Wood Street in Coventry at 5:30 p.m. Several previous games were covered in a previous Five Things . Other results and scheduled games:

  • In the 11-year-old bracket, SK American hosts Exeter-West Greenwich at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. SK National plays at Warwick West Side at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Narragansett plays at East Greenwich at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
  • In the 12-year-old bracket, Narragansett plays at Wickford at 6:30 p.m. Monday. This is an elimination game for Narragansett. SK National and American were eliminated in earlier games.
  • In the 10-year-old softball bracket, South Kingstown lost on Saturday afternoon to Westerly, which eliminated them from the playoffs.
