Here are the (more than) Five Things for Saturday, June 30:

Please bring your household waste (note: husbands and wives don’t count). At South Kingstown Town Hall today, there is the annual household waste collection day. It runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and for more information, click .

Shop until you drop, and I don’t mean that old cheesy game show! We’ve got the following yard sales, jewelry sales, flea markets and farmers’ markets on the events calendar for today:

  • The Church of Ascension on Main Street in Wakefield is hosting a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more info, click .
  • The at the General Stanton Inn in Charlestown is being held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • There is a at URI’s East Farm on Kingstown Road from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
  • There is a at Cross Mills on Old Post Road in Charlestown from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • It is gallery night for Silver Tides Jewelry and the OneWay Gallery on Boon Street. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and for more info, click .

DOUBLE blood drives! There are two blood drives in town today, so you really have no excuse for not donating. From , the bloodmobile (poor name, I know, but it works) will be at Dunkin’ Donuts at 231 Old Tower Hill Road. After 11 a.m., it moves over to on Post Road until 2 p.m.

Speaking of New Life Assembly… The blood drive is part of their bigger event, a block party, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more info, click .
