Tracey Blahy, a nutrition counselor at All That Matters, will be leading a course from noon to 3 p.m. today on the benefits of whole grains, beans, veggies, sea vegetables and natural sweeteners. Regardless, the Narragansett Recreation Board is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. The board meets at the town hall. Well, beyond providing those things with the words we used before Wikipedia, the library also offers classes on online learning for free. There is a , from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Elks Lodge at 60 Belmont Ave. will host the Eighth Annual Adult Spelling Bee Fundraiser at 6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit South Kingstown CARES. For more information, click . Darrrrryl, Darrryylllll! Happy 50^th birthday to Daryl Strawberry – This fact will surely make many of you feel old, since you probably remember Strawberry as the ultra-athletic outfielder with the Mets. Of course, this was not his career highlight, as his best performances were saved for The Simpsons. He’s awesome in “Homer at the Bat,” the most excellent episode of the show ever.
