While I don't always think that dullard cat is his own pajamas or meow, he does have a good point about Mondays.

Tracey Blahy, a nutrition counselor at All That Matters, will be leading a course from noon to 3 p.m. today on the benefits of whole grains, beans, veggies, sea vegetables and natural sweeteners. “I once hosted a forum about a new bike rack that lasted seven hours.” – Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) on Parks and Recreation. Keep up with your town boards tonight… Well, afternoon. Evening? Regardless, the Narragansett Recreation Board is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. The board meets at the town hall. (Be sure to take advantage of the $0.50 soda in the basement of town hall, by the way.)

The Elks Lodge at 60 Belmont Ave. will host the Eighth Annual Adult Spelling Bee Fundraiser at 6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit South Kingstown CARES. For more information, click . Happy 50th birthday to Daryl Strawberry – This fact will surely make many of you feel old, since you probably remember Strawberry as the ultra-athletic outfielder with the Mets.
