Katy Perry approved. In case you’ve missed all of the various fireworks displays the past couple days, or you just want to see more, Jamestown shoots off fireworks tonight. For more info, click here.

Has Wimbledon stoked your competition fire? There is drop-in tennis today at the Broad Rock tennis courts, which are behind the middle school. The cost is just $3, and the program runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. For more info, click here.

Well, that’s all well and good, except for the part where they couldn’t un-burn her… On this day in 1456, Joan of Arc was acquitted of heresy in a retrial.

Holy smokes, you’re 32 now??? Happy birthday to Michelle Kwan! You seem to be pretty awesome to me, plus, you once voiced yourself on Family Guy, which always earns props from me.
