5 THINGS: No James Garfield Quotes, And Ellen Page
We don't have a quote from James Garfield in here, and it's Ellen Page's birthday!

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Thursday, February 21, 2013:
“Man cannot live by bread alone; he must have peanut butter.” – Not actually James Garfield, but funnier to think he did say it. Here are today’s government meetings:
- The Narragansett Affordable Housing Committee meets at 8:30 a.m.
- The Narragansett Land Conservancy Trust meets at 5:30 p.m.
- The South Kingstown Town Council has a work session with the Economic Development Committee at 7 p.m.
- The Narragansett Zoning Board of Review meets at 7 p.m.
Register for South Kingstown Little League or Softball! Yes, it’s time for the nation’s pastime – opening day is just around the corner. For baseball registration info, click here. For softball, click here.

Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing me, and depending on the time of the day, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!
Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s International Mother Language Day. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).

Sign up for our daily newsletter! Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. This has nothing to do with the snow phallus from last week. On this day in 1885, the Washington Monument was completed.
Your best movie is secretly Whip It, a shockingly good flick about roller derby. Happy 26th birthday to Ellen Page!
