Five Things: Books, Wine and a New Editor

Good Morning! Here are five things you should know about for today, June 4, 2013.

Hey, I'm Lauren! Good Morning, Gansett and SK residents! My name is Lauren Costa and I've been the editor of Coventry Patch since 2010, but guess what else? As of June 3, I'm your editor, too! Don't be shy - feel free to reach out to me with news tips, suggestions, or just to say hello! I can be reached at lauren.costa@patch.com or by phone at 401.369.1676. I look forward to hearing from you!

SK Beach Passes: Although summer doesn't officially start until June 21, the weather is warming up and area beaches are open for business! If you plan on spending a lot of time soaking up the sand and surf this summer (ooh, alliteration!), save some cash by purchasing a beach pass. Click here to find out where you can buy a pass and how much it'll cost ya.

Grapes & Grain at URI: On June 8, enjoy a wide selection of wine and beer with an appropriately paired menu selection, along with a silent auction and entertainment. "An Evening of Grapes & Grain" will be held from 5-8 p.m. on the URI President's House Lawn (56 Upper College Rd., Kingston), and will feature unique auction items donated by community members, as well as an exclusive Alex & Ani Grapes Charm Bangle, available only at this event.
