Forensic Science Seminar at URI Today: (and 4 More Things)

    Forensic Science Seminar: From 3:30-5 p.m. tonight, as well as Nov. 22 and Dec. 6, the URI Crime Laboratory group will host a free Forensic Science Partnership Seminar in Room 124 of Pastore Hall (51 Lower College Rd., Kingston). The four seminars are open to the public and will each feature a different subject. Tonight's event is entitled "Microbial Forensics in BioCrime Fiction", and will be led by Rhode Island author, Joan Mead. Click here to learn more about the seminar series.

    URI 'Whitey' Bulger FBI Interview: Following convicted mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger’s sentencing of two life terms plus five years for crimes he committed, including 11 murders, the University of Rhode Island will host an exclusive Livestream interview with former FBI agent Robert Fitzpatrick today, Nov. 15 from 2-2:45 p.m. Click here for more information about this exclusive event!

    Star Gazing at Frosty Drew Observatory: Tonight and every Friday evening at 6 p.m., get star struck at the Frosty Drew Observatory's Public Stargazing Night (61 Park Ln., Charlestown). Be sure to subscribe to the Frost Drew Observatory mailing list or follow them on Twitter (@FrostyDrewOBSY) to receive status updates about the public stargazing program. This is a free event, however donations are greatly appreciated.

    Men's Over-35 Drop in B-Ball: Looking to have some fun and let loose some stress? Join your peers for recreational fun and good basketball supervised by Glenn Miller, tonight and each Friday through Mar. 14 from 7-9 p.m. at Peace Dale Elementary School (109 Kersey Rd, Peace Dale)  All ability levels are welcome and everyone plays.Note: Program does not meet when school is not in session. $2 per session.
