Girl Scouts Honored by SK Town Council

The council honors 11 Girl Scouts, and accepts their gift of some cookies. mmm.

The South Kingstown Town Council honored local Girl Scouts for accomplishments within the community by reading a proclamation at the Town Council meeting at town hall on March 12.  

Eleven Girl Scouts presented Girl Scout cookies to the councilors after the proclamation was read by Council President Ella Whaley. This recognition commemorated the 100th anniversary of the first Girl Scout meeting held on March 12, 1912 in Savannah, Georgia.
