John E. Fogerty Jr., Church Choir Member, Dies at 80

John E. "Jack" Fogerty, Jr., 80, of Narragansett, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 15, 2013. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John E. and Monica (Sullivan) Fogerty.

Mr. Fogerty enjoyed singing and was an Emeritus member of the choir at Our Lady of Mercy Church, East Greenwich and St. Michael’s Church, Providence.

He is survived by two sisters, Margaret King of Dartmouth, MA and Patricia Malley of Warwick; a brother, Paul Fogerty of Narragansett; a sister in law, Joan Fogerty of Narragansett; as well as many nieces and nephews.

His funeral was held Monday morning at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial followed in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church.
