According to police, Narragansett Fire Department personnel arrived on scene to treat the man, and he was immediately transported to South County Hospital. Police said the man was later transported to Rhode Island Hospital because of the severity of his injuries.
Police said they contacted a family member at about 10 a.m. for a follow-up on the man’s injuries. The family member said that the man had suffered a skull fracture and had a brain hemorrhage, however, his injuries were not life threatening and he was conscious and alert.

According to witnesses, the man willingly climbed up to the roof of the home from a second floor deck.
While speaking with his friends, he leaned backward and fell backwards off the second floor roof, about six feet on to the roof of a first floor deck, before falling another eight to 10 feet on to a bush and a concrete walkway in the front of the residence.
Police said the incident appeared to be an accident, and no criminal charges were filed. Police noted that alcohol was likely a factor, as the yard of 825 Point Judith Road had numerous empty beer cans and bottles in it when doing a follow-up investigation the next morning.
